Private Lessons One of the most rewarding and truly beneficial ways of language teaching and learning is the one-on-one classroom. As a student of Language, I have found that I am best motivated to learn when I combine the study of specific guidelines with practical application, which means I look at grammar and structure, but also get a chance to use the language in everyday, applicable situations.
As a professional teacher, I know that teaching itself is not about making a student reliant on your services forever. Private language training has several specific goals: to get started, to refine skills and to practice. It is pacific-Trades belief , whether teaching yoga, English or Spanish, that it is the institution's responsibility to not only provide quality teachers and materials, but to also motivate the student to act and think for themselves which is achieved through tailoring classes to each students needs. Within a reasonable amount of time, students should feel comfortable enough to step out on their own and practice what they have learned. If the school is performing correctly, eventually the student will no be reliant on the institution, except perhaps on a much more advanced, and specialized level. In Japan, there are a lot of private schools that offer private lessons, charging large fees in order to pay the overhead of hiring teachers, administrators and other costs. Many people are willing to pay this fee because it saves them the hassle of having to find a teacher. But for some, the cost is far too high. Besides price, one of the downsides of a language institute or even a small private school run by second-hand parties is that the classes are often excessively micro-managed. These schools sometimes offer a very aesthetic setting, providing a professional, business-like atmosphere, but tend to remove some of the key components to language acquisition and open communication: enjoyment, spontaneity and a real-life setting. This is not to say that there are not some very meaningful and beneficial Eikaiwa institutes. However, as a private language teacher and
student, I
know the benefits of working in direct contact with each other. Such
contact
only serves to facilitate both language learning and teaching. In
addition,
it is far easier to be flexible and adjust schedules when there is a
